I spent nearly 15 years in the Canadian Armed Forces. Afghanistan. Africa. Iraq. I was a special operator, a Joint Terminal Attack Controller. The job was everything.
In 2021 I was medically released. PTSD, physical injuries, the weight of everything I'd carried home. I thought the system would be there. It wasn't. Not in any real way.
"When you get out, there's nothing."
I fought for every benefit. Proved my injuries over and over again. Watched other guys going through the same thing and worse. In 2022 a friend of mine was going to end his life. I went looking for help in Canada. There was nothing there.
That same year I went to Tijuana. Ibogaine. It was the first time since leaving the military that I felt like myself again. Released from the addiction I'd been carrying. Clear. Present.
I came home and asked myself why this wasn't available here. Why Canadian veterans were travelling to Mexico for treatment that the research already supports. Why we were still losing people.
All The Way Foundation is my answer to that question.
