A veteran called out to me, deep into a psychedelic journey.

“Gord… my tears feel like the roots of the earth”.

It came after a long, heavy trip through trauma, suicide, and the first bit of self-forgiveness he'd allowed himself in years.

That moment became this graphic, him, with his tears growing into buttress roots.

And that little toad on the front? Bufo alvarius.

The Sonoran Desert toad known for producing 5-MeO-DMT, one of the most powerful psychedelic compounds on earth.
